Scent is a powerful thing. It has the ability to bring back memories from the ancient past and revive people that you haven`t seen in decades, just with a single whiff. Because of this, aromatherapy is something that has become very useful as a therapeutic aide.
Many people are aware that simple things like the smell of lemon smells clean and peppermint is often an aroma that reminds us of freshness and energy. But the actual amount of aromatherapy options out there can be overwhelming and there are quite a few things that those not steeped in knowledge of aromatherapy may not be aware of.
Some Oils Are Dangerous
Did you know that aromatherapy shouldn`t be used with all organic essential oils? Some oils are actually toxic and this may not be noted by the seller. Essential oils such as wormwood, camphor and rue are actually bad for you and shouldn`t ever be applied to the skin. It`s always good to know which oils shouldn`t be used in aromatherapy.

When you first meet a person, you generally notice their smile first. In the world of beauty, and aestheticism, white teeth are a must for most people. Cosmetic teeth whitening reigns supreme in a world of shiny white teeth. Ads focus on getting your teeth bright for that perfect date, or having a better appearance overall.
There are a few methods for whitening your teeth. They include using bleach, hydrogen peroxide, over the counter strips, professional methods, or using simple whitening products; such as toothpaste with baking soda. Bleaching is not recommended, because it strips your teeth of its natural enamel. Hydrogen peroxide also does this, but it is safe to do it about once per year. Over the counter strips should not be abused, and should only be used a maximum of two times per year. They work by penetrating the enamel, but the real whitening occurs behind your teeth, where the most staining occurs and shines through.

Anytime an ovarian cyst is causing severe pain, is ruptured or twisted, large, solid, irregularly shaped, or suspected of being cancerous, removal of the cyst is recommended. The chances of a cyst being cancerous will increase for older patients, so the older the patient with the ovarian cyst is, the more likely that ovarian cyst removal will be undertaken.
Before removing an ovarian cyst, a physician will typically conduct a comprehensive physical exam with the patient. Along with the exam, they will also review the medications a patient is taking and order urine and blood tests. A CT scan and abdominal x-ray may also be conducted to confirm the presence of an ovarian cyst before surgical removal.
In order to remove an ovarian cyst, a doctor may choose to perform either laparoscopic surgery or open surgery, depending on the type of ovarian cyst that is removed. It is common to perform open surgery on larger cysts.
In laparoscopic surgery, the surgeon makes a small incision in which to insert a thin tube called a laparoscope. The tube is used to find the cyst and from there, the surgeon is able to remove the cyst.
