Diabetes can be genetic in origin, that is it can be traced in the genes of certain families. If you have a family history of diabetes, then you need to be careful and extra vigilant in recognizing the early symptoms of diabetes. Being able to catch the early symptoms of diabetes can determine whether your diabetes is severe or manageable with just medications and a strict diet.

There are races which are more prone to diabetes compared to others. This who have traces of Native American, African American, Latino and Pacific Islander heritage are prone to diabetes. An individual’s weight, lifestyle, age and genes are among the factors which can trigger diabetes in an individual. A family history of diabetes can be the reason why many people always have check ups to see if their body is functioning as it should be.

Here Are Some Early Symptoms Of Diabetes To Watch Out For

Some of the many early symptoms of diabetes are blurry vision, frequent urination, increased feeling of fatigue, extreme hunger, irritability, excessive thirst and sudden weight loss. These early symptoms of diabetes need to be recognized as soon as possible before the individual goes from pre-diabetes stage to full diabetes.

Acid Reflux Remedies With Just One Pill a Day

by Ellen Mathers

Heartburn, GERD, Acid reflux disease or whatever you want to call it are terms that are used to describe anything from mild indigestion to severe digestive distress that feels like a heart attack. I do not have, nor have I ever had an ulcer, H-pylori or any other stomach ailment but I have been treated for acid reflux for 30-years.

I am unusual in that I just feel constantly hungry if I do not treat my acid reflux daily. I know I am not hungry because I will have just had a meal. Thirty minutes can go by and I will feel famished. This just can’t be. Since we all look after our weight it is not so good for me that I should want to eat all the time. I take one little pill each morning for heartburn before I brush my teeth to prevent this unrequited hunger.

Vegetarian Food Pyramid Facts

The typical vegetarian food pyramid is very close to the basic food pyramid that we are all familiar with. You’ll see replacements in the meat category with legumes and nuts, each of which is a great replacement for meat. At the base of the pyramid, indicating the largest percentage of food is the vegetable and fruit section. The reason for this is that fruits and vegetables contain the most fiber. Accordingly, a separate fiber section is not necessary on the food pyramid.

You should note that the usual vegetarian food pyramid is not the one you should use for a vegan diet. It makes recommendations for dairy products that will not be used with a strict vegan diet. In its place are foods such as soy items that will replace these dairy items. There is a food pyramid that is designed specifically for vegans and it will usually include bread and grains. These items are missing from the general vegetarian pyramid.

We all know that losing weight isn’t easy, but hopefully, by the end of this article, you will have a better idea of just how far reaching the effects of obesity can be on your entire body and internal systems.

Check out below the ways in which losing those inches can improve your health:

Weight loss prevents heart disease, high blood pressure and strokes.

These alone make up three very good reasons to get that excess weight off. It has been shown by research from across the USA and the UK, that the most prevalent cause of high blood pressure, heart disease and strokes are caused by problems directly associated with obesity. Being overweight can mean that the level of fat being carried around your body in your blood can be massively increased. The fat gets deposited and can cause clogging of the major arteries of the body, including the heart and brain. This in turn can bring on heart attacks and strokes.

Unfortunately, you may have problems that you are unaware of, and sudden death from stroke or heart attack can strike without warning.
