Lucky Bamboo As All Purpose Gifts
Tuesday, August 12th, 2008Your life can be more in tune with elements of nature by placing lucky charms in certain locations of either your home or office. This practice is known as Feng Shui, and placement of objects is important in this Chinese practice. It is believed that there are minimal hindrances to your utilization of your natural abilities when you practice it.
Believers in Feng Shui use lucky bamboo plants as lucky charms. They are hydroponic plants - which means the roots grow in water instead of sand or soil. They are similar to a bonsai tree in that they are miniature versions of the original bamboo plants from Africa or Asia.
The five elements of Feng Shui, which are wood, fire, earth, metal, and water, are all represented in a lucky bamboo plant. This makes them a unique Feng Shui charm. Earth is represented by the pot that contains the plant. Water is represented by the water that gives the plant it’s life. The plant itself is the representation of wood. In order to provide the elements of metal and fire, a red ribbon is tied around it and a metal coin is placed in it.
